NISEE, a public service project of the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research (PEER) Center Library, has guided discovery of significant earthquake engineering research resources since 1972. Created as the National Information Service for Earthquake Engineering (NISEE) by the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of the University of California, Berkeley and initially encouraged by a U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) grant, today NISEE is supported exclusively by personal memberships in the Earthquake Engineering Online Archive and Nisee e-library and commercial use fees of our informational products..
